What to Pack for a Family Dolphin Experience in Cabo

· Dolphin Experience

Pack for your Cabo dolphin experience with this family checklist: what to wear, what to leave behind, and which essentials the operator provides.

What to wear: swimwear and sun-protective clothing

Start with a swimsuit and clothing that shields you from the sun. Cabo Adventures, the activity operator, recommends sun-protective clothing for this experience. A long-sleeved UPF rash guard is a useful item to set aside when you pack for Cabo.

Lay out each family member’s outfit the evening before your visit. Keeping everyone’s swimwear together makes it easier to spot a missing item before you leave your accommodation. The operator’s preparation guide suggests wearing a swimsuit beneath your regular clothes.

What to pack for a comfortable return

Bring a dry change of clothes for after the activity. For a family, it helps to group each person’s outfit separately so you can find what you need without emptying the whole bag. A reusable bag for damp swimwear is another practical addition to your own packing list.

Think about the rest of your day, too. If you are continuing to lunch or heading straight back to your accommodation, choose a dry outfit that suits that plan. Keep this small visit bag separate from beach toys and other holiday gear you do not need for the session.

Sunscreen and jewelry: what to leave off for the session

Sunscreen is not permitted for the dolphin session. A biodegradable label is not an exception to that rule. Plan your clothing accordingly and follow the team’s preparation instructions on arrival.

Jewelry and accessories are also prohibited during the interaction. Leave rings, bracelets, watches, and small valuables at your accommodation. Make this part of your before-you-leave check so you are not deciding where to put a special item at the last minute.

Review the experience requirements

Cameras, personal belongings and optional photos

Personal cameras and phones may be used only in designated observation areas, not in the pool. Professional photographs are available to purchase after the experience; they are optional extras.

Decide as a family whether you want to consider photos, then check the available options and prices there before choosing. You do not need to plan your own pool photography. Keep belongings organized and follow the staff’s directions about storing them before the interaction.

Equipment provided and your final checklist

The operator provides a life jacket, locker, and towel, with wetsuits supplied during winter. Life jackets are required. This helps keep your packing list focused on clothing and personal essentials.

Before leaving, check these five things: swimwear ready; sun-protective clothing packed; a dry outfit for each person; jewelry left behind; and your booking confirmation available. Read that confirmation for your selected location and visit details.

Dolphin Experience is an independent booking brand; Cabo Adventures operates the activity. This guide focuses on preparing for the family experience offered through our site. If you have a question about an item you need to bring, contact us before your visit so we can clarify it.
